About

Brentwood

The Benetti Family owned and operated one of the first self-service grocery stores in the San Francisco Peninsula starting in 1945. By 1983, these grocery stores expanded into a grocery chain servicing the greater Bay Area. At the time they were sold to Safeway, there were 15 convenient stores and 3 Pak-n-Save Super Warehouse Stores.

In addition to the grocery chain, in 1954 the Benetti Family formed Brentwood Holding Company for Real Estate Investments in retail shopping space, residential income, and commercial office and warehouse space in the greater Bay Area and outside of California. Brentwood not only owns these properties, but manages them all in-house.

Today, Brentwood Holding Company is still owned and managed by the Benetti Family.
